RESOURCES:  BULLETIN BOARD for peripheral neuropathy

Bulletin Posting
Our Bulletin Board provides an open forum where participants can meet and talk to one another about living with neuropathy.  Because we want to enable supportive discussions where information and experiences can be exchanged, great freedom will be allowed in posting comments and material concerning peripheral neuropathy.

We ask that participants respect the guidelines listed below.  These guidelines are key to fostering a supportive community and a safe environment for those who visit and contribute. All comments represent the sole opinion of the writer.

The Neuropathy Association reserves the right to remove any comments that do not adhere to our guidelines (i.e., editing offensive language, commercial advertising, etc.). Repeated misuse of our bulletin board will result in the loss of posting privileges.

BULLETIN BOARD GUIDELINES

1.  Treat others with respect and kindness. This includes their age, race, religion, political opinion, cultural background, country and language.  Any post containing racial, religious, political, or cultural slurs will be eliminated without warning.

2.  Insulting or attacking (often referred to as “flaming”) someone for expressing their opinion is not permitted. When you post, you build an online reputation.  Build one you can be proud of and many people will walk into your life.

3.  A post with offensive or profane language will be deleted.  Anger and frustration is common with painful disorders and plenty of room is allowed for that.  However, we expect feelings to be vented without hostility.

4.  Do not post or share personal information (phone number, address, full name, Social Security number, credit card number, IP address or regular address, etc). This Internet site is open to the public.  You never know who will be reading and stealing personal information

5.  No advertisements or spamming.   Mention of a reputable product must be applicable to the neuropathy community in order to post and share.

6.  Promotion for personal commercial gain is strictly prohibited.

7.  Postings or entire threads discussing or suggesting the intent to end one's life will be deleted.  Individuals in crisis need to see a professional.   Many people living with pain find ways to continue their lives and be productive.  On the other hand, discussing depression is worthwhile for individuals coping with persistent health issues.  These discussions can be helpful and insightful.

8.  If a thread lingers on a topic, which has no relevance to neuropathy, the moderators reserve the right to question it and/or delete it.
