Dr. Steven Maynard and Debbie Hinnen, APRN Host Webinar on "Dealing with Diabetic Neuropathy on a Day-to-Day Basis" on April 6th

April 8th, 2013

The Neuropathy Association, in partnership with Pamlab, LLC, hosted a web-based educational seminar on April 6th, focusing on dealing with diabetic neuropathy on a day-to-day basis.

The webinar--featuring Dr. Steven Maynard and Deborah Hinnen, APRN, brought together over 120 participants from across the U.S. and Canada, as well as overseas (we had participants from Brazil, India, Ireland, and Norway). It offered patients and their family members an opportunity to better understand diabetic neuropathy, hear from and ask questions of health care experts in the field, and improve overall quality of life and care.

Support Your #1 Cause: The
Fight Against Neuropathy!

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (or diabetic neuropathy) is the leading cause of neuropathy in the U.S. It is also one of the most common complications of diabetes. According to the American Diabetes Association, 60 to 70 percent of people with diabetes will develop diabetic neuropathy. It has now also been scientifically shown that pre-diabetes—affecting 79 million Americans—may be a risk factor for neuropathy. Managing diabetic neuropathy requires that we manage the diabetes, slow the progression of diabetic neuropathy, provide pain relief, and manage the complications.

This webinar is a follow-up to last year's well-received diabetic neuropathy webinar. A special thanks to Dr. Steven Maynard and Debbie Hinnen, APRN, as well as the Pamlab team for making this program possible!
